Yes, the Vine accepts many major insurance plans.

The Vine’s sliding fee scale is our ministry. We provide our counseling services at a fee determined by a person’s income. Our fee range is from $10 a session to $170 a session. Our vision is that to make needed help available and not to have that dependent on ability to pay. We are able to do this with the contributions of 23 area churches, countless individuals and several companies in town. When you call to set up your session you will receive a good faith estimate of your fee if you are not using insurance.

The Vine is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Friday.

When you arrive for your first session you will receive a parking pass to use in our parking lot.

Yes, the Vine offers in person sessions at our office downtown and also telehealth sessions online. Therapists only practice in the state that they are licensed in, so you must be in the state of Alabama during your session if you are meeting online.

Please plan to arrive 15″ to 30″ early to your first session to fill out paperwork. As you the complete the paperwork there will be questions about what you’re experiencing and what you are hoping to get out of therapy, which helps you collect your thoughts and prepare for your first session.

In your first session your therapist will discuss your goals and make a recommendation about how often you should meet.

No, therapists at the Vine provide clinical mental health therapy but cannot prescribe medication. Our team of therapists does not include any psychiatrists. If you are looking for a referral to a local psychiatrist your therapist will be happy to talk that decision over with you if desired.

If you cancel an appointment with 24 hours notice you will not be billed for that session. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours or fail to show up for a session you will be charged a late fee.
